We handle the advertising for sellers and trainers across the country. Our horses are typically priced from $25,000 to well in the six figures. We specialize strictly in Hunter-Jumper show horses and specifically in those suited for the A circuit.
At any time we have dozens of horses available, some of which may not yet be on our web site. For best results please contact us with a description of your needs, including an overview of your experience and your anticipated goals for your next mount. Please provide information on your current training program and any professional involved in it and in your search for a horse. Please also include your price range and mailing address. Based on this description we will send videos of appropriate horses.
We encourage professionals to contact Sellers directly. Contact information for Sellers is listed on each horse's web page. If you have trouble getting in touch with a Seller please let us know by emailing Amber@ExchangeHJ.com.
If you are an amateur or junior interested in a horse please contact The Exchange so we may assist in determining which listings are best suited for you. Given the large number of inquiries generated by The Exchange our Sellers prefer a basic screening of suitability for all nonprofessional buyers. We politely request that parents, juniors, and novice amateurs do not contact our sellers directly.
In nearly all cases we believe that horses are most appropriately placed when professional trainers are involved in determining suitability of horse and rider. We strongly encourage parents and novice adults to share videos with their trainers, seek their opinion, and allow trainers to contact and question Sellers about the animal.
Due to the high end nature of our horses we take Seller and Buyer privacy very seriously. Prices are not listed and are disclosed only upon conformation that the Buyer has a legitimate interest in and a basic suitability for the animal. This protects our horses and Sellers from gossip, and benefits Buyers when the time comes for resale.
Our Sellers are in most instances professional horseman and we kindly request that Buyers treat them as such. For decades professionals have been reluctant to take the Internet as a legitimate venue for quality horses. The reluctance is understandable, most equine sale sites are a hodgepodge of miscellaneous horses in a variety of shapes and sizes. Sellers advertising online often find their time spent answering emails and phone calls from uneducated buyers and children. Through a strict marketing strategy and an understanding of the needs of the professional seller The Exchange has established an online portal where Sellers can rely on legitimate interest and Buyers can rely on quality horses. Please help us continue to strengthen this precedent by respecting our policies regarding inquiries.
