Handsome Childrens, Adult Amateur, Mod. Jr/AO+ campaigner with good ribbons at Capital Challenge and recent Top 3 finishes at Zone 2 Finals. Classic Amateur type, easy jump to stay with, knows his job and very pleasant to watch. Loves to horse show and is an easy addition to any competitive program.
Duke is eye-catching and rhythmical, responsive and intelligent. He has a big, slow canter, a lovely auto-change, and makes the lines with ease. Smooth and comfortable over fences, he can handle a mistake or step-up and make a decision. Duke holds a tune well and enjoys taking care of his rider; he needs minimal prep to show and is unimpressed by filler. He has a great brain for amateurs and is a handsome and handy hunter/eq combo for junior riders.
Duke is happy in a consistent program that enjoys at least a few days of turnout each week. He is affectionate and very people-oriented; a well-mannered gentleman that goes on trails but prefers to horse show. Has filled owner's goals as a reliable Adult Amateur, 55 & up horse, and has plenty of scope for 3'6" fences.
