February 2010 Update: Congrats again Lucky Jack - this horse has seriously surprised me as an upcoming equitation superstar. Won the Maclay last week in Ocala with one rider, and was 2nd in the EJ Haun Medal with a different rider - who also rode him to consistent Top 4 Prizes in the Juniors out of 17 entries. Add to that, Week 1 he was 4th in the Maclay out of 45, and 5th in the WIHS out of 50, with a totally different rider! Catch ridden at 2009 HITS Ocala to three 4ths and a 5th out of 19 very nice Junior Hunter partnerships, and recently moved another junior up to 3’6” with top ribbons at Atlanta Fall. Consistent and attractive hunter also suitable for Derbies and Equitation.

Soft with lots of step and scope, Jack jumps round and tidy but is handy enough for Equitation. Jack has great lead changes and basic dressage schooling. He is a brave horse that jumps anything and is easy to get to the ring. Adjustable and responsive with good ribbons in the First Year Handy classes and Junior Equitation.

Very well-mannered, Jack has lived and trained successfully both at home and in a professional program. He is a quiet horse with no vices and also goes on trails. He is nicely sensitive to the aids, frames easily, and has his own motor and rhythm. Jack has a good brain, willing temperament, and an affectionate personality. Great partner for jr/am Hunters, Equitation and Derbies.
