Lovely horse, great mount for equitation and provides a solid start in the jumper or hunter ring. Imported Spring 2005 from Ireland, lots of good miles abroad, plus ribbons in junior equitation, jumpers, and hunters in North America. Very flashy, lots of presence, great to move up on.

Calvin has a ton of style under saddle and over fences: Three good gaits and a fantastic mover, great jump with a sharp front end and nice shape in the air. Easy to stay with and very impressive as an Equitation mount, has a lovely frame and four chromed legs to catch the judge’s eye. Overall a very handsome horse and a solid athlete that can legitimately compete in any ring. Plenty of scope to get out of trouble and a safe mount for riders moving up.

Calvin has a strong dressage background and is well-schooled in counter-canter and lateral work. He has proven patience for young riders and will pack 3’- 3’6” fences with auto-swaps and style. Reliable and honest, jumps everything including liverpools. Happy and good-natured horse, easy to get along with and very willing. Adaptable and can keep it simple for the less-experienced rider, or can step it up and handle the technical questions of a 3’6+” Medal course.
